Easter fun

Easter at Grammy and Grandpa's with the Utah Carr cousins. We had a wonderful time eating, visiting, and playing one of Julie's many games. It's so great to be near some of our family again. Life is great.

More Rock Canyon

If everything we post is a picture of the beautiful outdoors near where we live, well, that's our favorite thing about our new home, the beautiful location. Today we ventured farther up Rock Canyon and saw some truly stunning scenery that can't be fully captured by the camera, but at least you can see how cute Ruth is.

More Bonneville Trail

We are loving having the Bonneville Shoreline Trail so close to our home. This was a four-mile out and back hike we did earlier this week.

St. Patrick's Day breakfast

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Wendy made these fun rainbow pancakes for our St. Patrick's Day breakfast. They were a big hit with everyone and less appetite-suppressing than green eggs.

More canoeing pictures

Canoeing Lake Utah

We (Daniel, Wendy and Tessie) got an early start this morning to hit the water. We began 1.5 miles upstream Provo River and paddled out into Utah Lake. The scenery was gorgeous.

After a little while we returned home to grab a picnic and the other kids (Lucy, Reuben and Ruth) to celebrate Ruth's half birthday with a little more canoeing and soccer. She is 2 1/2 today, March 12. We sure do love that little angel!

Tandem bike date

Last Saturday, Wendy surprised me by renting a tandem bike. We rode it up to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls, a double cataract waterfall over 600 feet high, and enjoyed the views. It will really get going soon as the high snowpack melts. Right as we arrived, a rock weighing a few hundred pounds crashed down the slope, causing several visitors to scatter, and splashing into the pool at the base of the falls. Quite exciting.

Riding from our own town to one of the highest and prettiest falls in the country--just one more reason to love our new cabin.
