Trunk or Treat

Last weekend was our ward's annual Trunk or Treat / Fall Festival. There was a dinner and indoor games followed by trunk or treat. We built a small maze out of boxes in the back of our truck and covered it with a large tarp. It was a real hit. Our small primary suddenly turned into millions of screaming fairies, vampires and pirates! (Happy screams, of course.) We had a blast.

Weekend in Houston

This past weekend we took our first road trip to back to Houston and Ruth met her older brother and sister for the first time. Very fun and rewarding trip.

Friday night Daniel and I enjoyed the cool fall weather by camping in the Sam Houston National Forest. Ruthy loved it as much as we did. Easy to love that little girl.

Five Weeks Old

Heaven must be full of sleeping babies.

Halloween Pumpkins

October is such a beautiful month here in Baton Rouge. For the most part the weather has been cool and dry. Halloween is just around the corner.

Our house may be haunted. Ghost doing pumpkin clings and burpees?

No, just Daniel and the kids knocking out a 15 min AMRAP. Around here we know how to take pumpkins to the next level.

FHE Tennis lessons with Dad

No question about it, the Carrs love Family Night. Yesterday's activity was tennis (and life) lessons with Dad. We were all happy to go play outside. The weather here has been perfect.

Bench jumps always add a little fun to picking up stray tennis balls. We recently learned that Lucy is a champion jumper! Here she is challenging Dad to a set of jumps.

Ruth is still adorable. We love her!

Rural Life Museum

Two weekends ago we spent the weekend at the charming LSU Rural Life Museum only a few minutes from our house. Beyond the usual fun historical buildings and reenactments they offer, there were all sorts of fun activities, like a corn maze and hay rides. We all had a great time.
