Liberty Lagoon

We again visited Liberty Lagoon to celebrate the end of the school year.

Here is a picture of us the last time we went. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant.

The water was still a bit cool, so Lucy and Reuben enjoyed laying out in the warm sun after receiving their fill of the lazy river and water slides.

Ruth is almost 9 months old now. She got a kick out of the fountains and splash pads. 

Super Kids!

We are so proud of our super kids! We were invited to a special honors breakfast last week to celebrate Lucy and Reuben for a great school year. Among other awards, Reuben made the Principal's List for straight A's and Lucy was awarded Best All Around student in her 3rd grade class.

We also attended Lucy's final strings concert where she won an award for being the most dependable student. Again, we are so proud of these kids!

House Remodel

We have spent the last few weeks slowly remodeling our front porch. We cut back 8ft high bushes, pressure washed, removed metal security bars, painted and scraped. We hope to paint the front door, mount moulding, hang shutters and repair damaged wood by the end of the week. Lots of work, but our house is looking great!

UPDATE:  Here is the nearly completed door and a picture of the front, before and afters so you can compare. (We had already removed the iron bars from the front door before the first picture was taken, but you can see the color change and improved moulding. Also not shown, the purple front bushes had grown up to the roof line before we trimmed them back.)
