Two weeks old

Ruthy is 2 weeks old today. So precious.

Farewell to G'ma and G'pa

We're so glad Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. To celebrate we all went to Boutin's to eat yummy Cajun food and dance. Grandpa snapped a quick family picture in the backyard before we left for the restaurant. The food was great and dancing was a blast.

Here we are enjoying our treat after Family Home Evening on Monday. Lucy chose chocolate milk straws from Hungary. Love it.

Nottoway Plantation

There are so many fun plantations within our surrounding area. Saturday we visited the largest remaining Antebellum plantation home in the South: Nottoway. Very impressive.

Grandpa Comes

Ruth continues to be a wonderful baby. She loves to sleep for hours on end. She always looks so peaceful. Of course her long naps are perfect for Sunday board games.

 

We are so glad Grandpa Thompson made it safely from Florida to visit. Ruth loves him already.

Ruth Louise Carr

We are delighted to announce the birth of

Ruth Louise Carr

on September 12, 2013 

She was born at 1:36am, only 4 hours after her baby shower and 2 1/2 hours after mommy and daddy arrived at the hospital. She has been a joy ever since. The pictures above were taken today. She is one week old. Just as cute as day one (pictures below).

 

We love having Grandma Thompson here to help out. Look at that dinner she made us!

Ruth has been incredible. She never cries and sleeps through most of the night.

Company Picnic

Every year our company sponsors a company picnic at a local water and amusement park. I was very impressed with some of the water slides the kids were willing to try. So brave!

The amusement portion of the park was geared toward smaller children and had some very old, original rides. My favorite was the carousel and cars in Gasoline Alley. Reuben was the only one small enough to drive the car. We are so glad he was with us! We all had a great time.
