Pigeon Catching

 hi this is Tess

today is my turn to write on the blog and I want to write about catching pigeons

ever since I went to Italy (the pigeons are not shy there) then I've wanted to catch a pigeon

my mom told me an easy way to catch a pigeon. what you do is lay out your hand (with some food  on it) and when the bird eats it, then you grab its foot.

I haven't caught any pigeons yet, but I know that I will soon. the picture down there is where the pigeons like to sit, and the second one is a better view of it, but there are no pigeons on it because it is night.

Mexico, Mexico, Mexico

Hi! This is Ruth! We finally made it to Mexico! We took an airplane to Mexico City, and then a bus to San Miguel. It was the nicest bus I have ever been in!!!!!!!!! It was like going on a first class airplane. It was a  double decker bus, and we were on the top decker, in the very front. There were even TV screens!

This is us on the bus!

Party on the roof!

Adventures in Costa Rica

Welcome back to blogging! It has been nearly ten years, but we're back at it for our adventures in Mexico.

Today we are going to review our first week, which was a vacation to Costa Rica. Today is Wendy, but we will be rotating writers to give everyone a voice. Let's go!

We started our adventures August 4th, very early in the morning, in SLC. Our destination was high in the mountains of coastal Costa Rica, Turrialba. The fruit was plentiful, the people friendly, yet we were surprised by cold temperatures and torrential rain! We were glad to have with us warm coats.

First on the list of adventures was river rafting! Our guide's name was Jonathan, and he was really good at navigating the river rapids. We had so much fun.

Then we headed to the carribean coast to the Tree House Lodge. We stayed in the Crystal lodge, which was beyond our wildest imaginations. An artist's dream come true. The best part was that fruit was growing everywhere! It was very tasty. Here are a few pictures.

The best part of living in the jungle is the wildlife. We saw so many fun creatures, including sloths, monkeys, green macaw, snakes, and cutter ants. So cool.

Definitely as highlight of this portion of the trip was the horseback ride, where the whole family learned to run their horses on the beach. Heaven! Our guide, Annie, was super nice and let Tess brush and care for the horses. The ride started in the jungle and led to the beach. We saw at least three sloths in the trees overhead along the way.

Well, that's the highlights. What an adventure! Next up, MEXICO!
